Well, June 17th has come around for another year and it’s time again for me to have a go after the ever elusive Hampshire Avon Barbel. This year, I’m going to try more than my normal few trips out on the river. This has clearly contributed to my lack of success.
Being my first trip for over a year, I only forgot my catapult and some PVA mesh which is not bad.
I’m fishing on a nice big bend and other one round to my right. This is where I have dropped in some Hemp and a few crushed Smokey Jack boilies. The other rod is being fished on the crease line at the edge of a deep bowl in the river also with Smokey Jack boilies.
Do love the wildlife you get to see on the river bank.
I moved to swim just before 1130 and found this lovely spot but no knock or bits for me today.
Until next time
