After the last trip (where I has spotted some fish and had a few rig disasters) and dispite the weather, I just had to have another go in this swim
I have changed tactics and was using a cut down Catalyst boilies, as I was wondering if these fish are a bit cautious of big bits at the start of the season.
I was starting to wonder what I needed to do to catch a Barbel or even a Chub out of this section. I had not had a problem before further up stream, which is where my old Syndicate was and as I was typing this, the rod knocked and I pulled round into a nice chub, not a Barbel, but a step forward and worth getting wet for.
Until next time
