I am back out on the lake (again), as the river is still too high for me to get anywhere good for Pike fishing.
However, I am quite enjoying fishing the lake and I may stick it out here until the middle of February.
Two Robins sat on my rod’s, I just love his time of year, as the wildlife is so friendly or brave (hungry).
Both rod’s are being fished at range near a bar. I am hoping the fish are held up for the Winter as the cold weather has finally arrived.
Godman Angling solu-ties are a perfect way to stop the lead from flying up the line. I like to have as little resistance as possible and on the big casts the lead will always fly up the line. I don’t like using heavy leads and these things solve this problem perfectly.
Just fed my Robin for the day.
With no signs of Pike after two hours, I moved out onto the end of the point.
We will see what happens here, to my left there is a lovely deep margin and a small plateau out in front of me. Both perfect spots for bait fish to be.
Unfortunately, no Pike again today.
Will try another area of the lake on my next trip out, just need to track the bait fish down.
Until next time
