*** A catch of memories ***

This fish isn’t so important because of its weight (it was verified 25.3 btw) or for who caught it first. It is an important fish though because it is so named, Sam’s Fish.
The late Andy Kendall was a long time carp angler at Alders Farm Fishery and one of his last wishes was the stocking of 5 prestigious fish to 30lb to be put into Oak Lake and named after family and a close friend and peg 1 was so named Andy’s corner. This all happened last year.
‘Sam’s Fish’ hadn’t been on the bank yet, until this weekend, when it was finally caught for the first time, albeit missing a bit of its tail.
We are pretty sure Andy was having a wee smile to himself when the net slipped under this lovely fish and he would of been as happy as we were to be there to capture the moment.
So here is Sam’s fish for all to see. In memory of Andy Kendall.
