Carp Fishing Trip 17 (2013)

This weeks trip was on a nice wet and windy day! The wind was from the north again. Which had dropped the temperature, however, the lake was looking good. With the wind pushing into the corner and a nice scum line building up.

I fished the dam end of the lake, as I also had seen a fish for the first time this year. My set up was the same as previous week, as there was no reason to change.

Rod 1 was cast by the monk, with not too many freebies, as this area had become a hot spot for pre baiting.

Rod 2 was cast into open, were I had seen the fish show and I have had many fish from the area in the past. This swim also gives you a great view of the lake.
With no joy again, even with these conditions, with rain all night. In the past it has been very productive when it has been like this.

Carp Fishing Trip 16 (2013)

I am back out for another quick night, in my hunt for a big common. At the moment there are 2 day anglers up on the reeds and 1 person night fishing.
After a good look around the lake, I settled for a swim that I had not fished for a long time for some forgotten reason.

It has lilly pads both sides, with a big enough gap to put a bait across to the far margin, if you wish.

I opted to put one on the right hand set of pads, in between a small over hanging tree.

The other rod was cast by the end of the left set of pads, with a few spods of Bait Tec chillI hemp and some pellet + 20 or so bollies.

Both rod’s had small mesh bags with a snowman rig.

Oh well, no joy yet again. I have put this down to the sudden drop in temperature over the past 24 hrs. It has gone down by 10 degrees at night to a low of 6 degrees and it’s nearly June.

Oh well off to work.
