UK Carp & Coarse Fishing

With a break in the weather passing through this weekend, I was very keen to get on the lake.  With a few family things on, there was only one option – two quick overnights over the weekend.  The pressure had dropped a lot, plenty of strong winds due and loads of rain, it just had to get the fish feeding.

After a long look round and there were a few anglers with the same thought as me!  I settled on the middle part of the complex out on a point, however in the past I lost a few carp in the snags to the left.  I would be keeping well away from these, I feel there is no real point in losing carp for the sake of it and the potential of harming them.

I baited a new area to my right, which has produced fish in the past for me.  I flicked some bags on the stop, laid on my bed watching the world go by and the sun going down.

Hoping I had chosen the right spot (which I was sure I had) but it may be my next trip that produces some fish.  This is part of my baiting plan, as I would be back every other night for the next 3 trips out, well that’s the plan and we shall have to see how it works out.

With no carp the first night I was up early to head home for a family day out.

Until next time

Richard
