UK Carp & Coarse Fishing

We are out again after the big carp and it’s going to be a bit of a fresh one, I think.

I arrived down the lake about 2 ish, only to find it was one of those weekends where we all turn up.  Unfortunately, I was the last one to arrive.  What I have done is to pick an area away from the other anglers and set up as stealthy as possible.  With a couple of lucky casts, I was all set.  Slowly every half hour or so, I catapulted a pouch full of 10mm Catalyst boilies out.  I was fishing the same set up as trip 1, as this was a very shaggy swim.

I was fishing locked up and the rod butts were in the bivvy door!  It’s the only safe way to fish this type of swim.

I had no action in the night and was very sheltered from the cold wind and was lucky enough not to get another frost.

With the sun warming up the channel, I was quite hopeful for the last couple of hour’s, it was not to be.
