Liver in its various forms has been recognised as a highly effective source of nutrition and attraction for as long as we can remember. It has played a very important part in the ongoing development of our products since the very early years of the company.

This particular Liver Powder is the finest quality available and makes a superb addition to any type of mix, but its concentration and purity mean that our suggestions for inclusion are not as high as you may see quoted for other products elsewhere. There is some room for experimentation upwards, but our ongoing fieldtester feedback indicates that 4-10g per mix is a good starting point.

Liver Powder was initially brought into our range for the bait making connoisseur, but in recent years many anglers have evolved their own uses for this product including the use within PVA bag and spod mixes for enhanced attraction at the recommended inclusion rates listed above.

What are Wafters

Year on year we get asked about wafters, when to use, what makes them so effective and then anglers stating too buoyant or not buoyant enough.

In laymen terms, the name Wafter fits the hook baits perfectly, the principle being that the wafter hook baits balance your rig out by taking away the weight of the hook. So making your finished rig / bait act like a free offerings when disturbed. But please remember to balance them out against your rig, hook pattern and choice of hook length you intend to use.
For example, a simple guide, a 15mm to a size 6 hook, 18mm to a size 4 but there is big differences in weights of different hook pattern hooks, also consider hook lengths material. Fluorocarbon is heavier than braid so take this into consideration. Also swivels, rig rings, bait screws etc. also add weight.

Our protein, vitamin, mineral and amino rich Corn Steep Liquor is produced from the soluble parts of the corn kernel through the steeping process. The end result being a viscous liquid with a very distinctive aroma that carp find irresistible.

Can be used in any base mix or recipe at 10-25ml per 500g, or as part of the liquid content for a bag, spod or carpet feed to add even more attraction.

Another great use for this amino rich liquid is soaking your hook baits over several weeks which will significantly add to the attraction and surrounding baited area.
