Here’s one more tip to give a better understanding of your sonar readings! 💡📚
When interpreting sonar scans, remember to always read from left to right. ➡
When an object rises ↗ , the beginning of its sonar reflection or arch (1) will be shown deeper than its end (2). A sinking object sinking will be displayed as reverse of a rising object – the beginning of the arch (3) will be higher in the water column than its end (4). ↘
If you’re targeting this specific object, note that the depth where the arch ends is the depth where the object was last picked up by the sonar. 🧐🐟
