As you’ve posed this question, I’ll ask one of my own, which is do you think baits become self perpetuating? By this I mean if I have a good day with, say luncheon meat, I’m more inclined to use luncheon meat and the more time I spend fishing with luncheon meat on the hook almost inevitably means I’ll catch with it. However, there is no real control to say how worm, corn or bread would have done in comparison in the same spot and at the same time …
