So this scan

So this scan 👇 is the perfect example of how differentiating lakebeds are represented and displayed using the settings Mid-angle Beam 🔺, Raw Sonar Display 🚫🐟 and Day Colour Palette ☀️.
Using these common settings when carp fishing can help you determine if the bottom is hard or soft and ultimately what rigs would be best presented. 🎣
🟡🟠 Using the Day Colour Palette setting a hard clean bottom will always be shown in bright yellow colour , perfect for a bottom bait, Wafter rig or even a solid bag! ⬇️
🔵🔴 A soft siltier bottom will consist of darker colours like you see on the left, more blue and red so a pop-up rig and or helicopter set up would be better suited on this spot to stop your hookbait plummeting into the debris. ⬆️

 Spring Tip.

💡 Spring Tip. With the temperatures on the rise the Carp will almost certainly follow suit and rise up 👆 through those water columns to seek the warmest water. 🌡 So time to up your Zig Fishing game!
Using your Sonar to find what depth the carp are at couldn’t be simpler, just look for those arches upon retrieval, this means there are fish in your area. Then, 1️⃣ turn on fish icons and 2️⃣ select the downward arrow fish icon setting.
You will notice on the main screen it will give you a reading of how far the fish are from the lakebed meaning you can adjust your Zig Rigs accordingly to be at the depth the carp are swimming around at.
Get out there and give it a go! 💪🎣

#teamfin member Justin Grassi

#teamfin member Justin Grassi with a 30+ common from his first trip of the year to Bluebell Lakes.
Justin told us ‘I decided to fish kingfisher. With the weather conditions of recent, the lake hadn’t been fishing that well though a change in more favourable conditions helped me catch this 30+ Common using a Classic corn 12mm pop-up lightly sprinkled with a mix of boilie crumb, together with a Classic corn hardened hookbait.
Well done Justin. you can see more of Justins’ bait of choice here:
