What a week I have had! My car got hit, I was sick and then the car broken down, as this was my three things, my week started to get better. More Summit Tackle arrived and I got my Katran UK deal sorted and a nice package arrived – a Fishspy arrived for me to have a play with and a I had a 3 day weekend. I just had to go fishing and the wind was pushing from the north again, I headed straight for the swims on the back of the wind and my best option was one of the island swims.
And with plenty of sunshine forecast and despite the frosty nights we have been having, I was feeling quite confident.
As the video shows, the storm didn’t help. However, I was still feeling that when the fish feed, I would be in the right area. I was fishing near the overhanging trees off two of the islands and an interception route out of the sanctuary area.
Both areas had been baited up with half a kilo of chopped boilies with a small Godman Pva mesh bag filled with micro pellets and soaked in oil.
It was a funny day, what with the storm and then swallows & and the martins skimming across the lake. I also heard cuckoos about.
New Summit Tackle buzz bars and stabilizer, looking the part.
The night was fun as well, 2 dropped fish in open water around a snag I never new was there. This is starting to become a bit of a habit and not a very good one, as you can imagine, am pretty fed up this morning. Onwards and upwards as they say.
However, did get some very nice photos and hopefully still time to bag a fish.
Despite the wind changing direction to a warm S/W blow.
They where the only runs I had, just a shame I did not get them in the net. Bait & location working well, luck not so good.
Until next time
Richard
