Below are just a few of the fish landed on Spotted Fin Products
Gorgeous shot from our Germany consultantThomas Keutmann from a recent haul, sharing the moments with his trusty fishing partner!
How’s this for a gnarly old creature, tempted byStuart Medway on a recent session to Dinton, Black Swan. I bet this warrior could tell a few tales!
Consultant Matt Miller checking in with a stunning scaley mirror. A fish called ‘Smeg’ at a lovely 25lbs 12oz. Deploying single hookbait tactics with the Fruit Zing pop ups proved too irresistible for the RK leisure stunner.
We love receiving messages from customers who are turning to the Catalyst for their angling, and we just had to share this one from Andrew Harper on his low stocked syndicate! After he found a clear patch up against the thick weed, he opted to present a 15mm Catalyst washed out pop up over a good helping of Catalyst boilies and corn. Getting tucked up for the night full off confidence, it wasn’t long before Andy had a melting take resulting in one of the A-Team! A fish called ‘Scar’ at a monstrous 39lbs 12oz. Yet another happy angler full of confidence and another chunk to the scrapbook and an awesome picture to suit the moment.
Young Landon Pepper is back out on the reservoir once again, and has managed another chunky set specimen! Pre baiting with a mixture of Catalyst boilies and hemp seed, Landon has been priming his spots, preparing for his sessions giving himself a head start on his water. A washed out Catalyst yellow pop up doing the business for the young gun. Top angling Landon!
The ever consistent Richard Handel checking in with yet another common from a recent overnighter. A PVA bag mix of Catalyst pellets, presenting a Masala spice pop up once again giving Richard his success.
After an epic campaign on The Mill for Rob Nunn, this torpedo looking mirror will probably be the last fish to his impressive album from the venue after joining another syndicate, in the hope of perusing the units it hides! Tactic wise, Rob presented a Catalyst wafter wrapped in The Catalyst paste over a bed of crushed Catalyst boilies and minamino liquid.
Fear the beard! Back on the Essex Manor, consultant Mark Cooper has pulled out an absolute gem from the well known syndicate. The fully scaled mirror tipped the needles to 31lbs 12oz, but we don’t think the weight is relevant with a fish as stunning as this! Caught on a washed out pink Catalyst pop up over a bed of a new prototype bait currently on test.
Head bailiff from Chilham Mill, Shaun Brookermanaged to get himself over the channel into France for a week in the hope of catching some big French lumps, and it’s exactly what he did! Shaun managed 8 fish over the week although the going was tough, topped by this huge 57lbs common! Using our PVA mesh, Shaun presented an 18mm hookbait with a mixture of Catalyst active stick and pva mix and hemp soaked in the Catalyst food dip and the Go2 caramel bait sauce over a good helping of Catalyst boilie.
Yet another French chunk from our man Shaun Brooker, this time just under the magical 50lbs mark. Caught using the same tactics as the big common. Why not give it a go? PVA stick mixes are a very underused tactic which allows you the present a tight area of attraction around the hookbait. Mix some of the Catalyst active stick and pva bag mix along with some hemp, then add some of the Catalyst food dip to give the mix even more of a kick in the water.
Another one of Shaun Brooker‘s victims from his week long trip to Lake Serene. Are you making the trip abroad soon in the hope of catching that fish of a lifetime? Don’t leave anything to chance… Get on the Catalyst
Team member Christopher Mears enjoyed a fruitful (excuse the pun) weekend using the Miracle berry pop ups on his local syndicate. Chris managed a 3 fish catch, topped by this 31lbs 5oz brute. Fishing The infamous Ronnie rig in conjunction with our TurningPoint Longshank curve hooks, tied with the FinSkin semi stiff hooklink ensured every bite ended with a wet net!
Fishing is all all about getting out there and enjoying your time on the bank, and it’s exactly what young Landon Pepper is doing at the moment with his dad! Pre baiting with a mixture of the Catalyst boilies and hemp seed, Landon managed to break his PB twice in one session, with this common being the pick of the bunch at 24lbs. Once again the Catalyst natural pop ups proving too tempting. Keep up the great work Landon, and good luck from all at Spotted Fin next time you’re on the bank!
Neil McNaught has been getting his teeth into Kingsmead 1 on the RK Leisure complex recently and has banked one of the many gems of the lake, the battle scarred Ugly Sutton at a stonking 41lbs 12oz. Nailed over the Catalyst on a white matching pop up.
A recent overnighter saw Antony Roughley bag this low twenty mirror, making the effort all worthwhile on his local syndicate! A Catalyst dumbbell topped with another washed out dumbbell fished blowback style produced the bite on the session.
With the sun shining at the weekend it would’ve been rude not to entertain the floater set up, this being one of many in a few hectic hours for Tom Gibson. Using the Salmon oil, Tom soaked his mixers in the liquid to give the freebies and his hookbait the ultimate attraction on the surface, causing a feeding frenzy!
Stuart Saddler enjoyed a recent trip to the notoriously famous Euro Aqua, banking several chunks including this brute of a mirror. All fish falling to the ever faithful Catalyst Natural pop ups.
Fishing Mallard lake on the Bluebell complex, Steve Wright enjoyed a fruitful session with a five fish catch topped by this dark looking mirror. Tactic wise, Steve opted to present a Classic corn pop up over a bed of mixed particle and Catalyst boilie.
After a tough weeks fishing over in France on Laroussi with temperatures soaring to nearly 40 degrees, Antony Roughley knew the fishing would be tough. After a change of tactics, he opted to soak his particles in the Sweetcorn Particle and Pellet syrup with three Go2 wafters on the hair, a perfect match for fishing over particles. It wasn’t long after the plan was put into action that this 45lbs grass carp graced the landing net adding a new PB on the trip, just showing how important it is to keep thinking to keep those bites coming. Great work Anthony!
Back on the Essex Manor, consultant Mark Cooperis back to doing what he does best in the shape of this thick set common at 36lbs. A washed out pink Catalyst pop up over a bed of the prototype bait currently in test doing the job for Mark.
Back on his low stocked syndicate, consultant Nathan Bailey managed to grace his net with some of the lakes gems on his latest session. This being the first victim, a fish called “BlackJack” at 33lbs 5oz. Tactic wise, Nathan has has to adapt due to the abundance of crayfish in the tricky venue, so opted for plastic baits soaked in the Fruit Zing booster spray, presented over a bed of mixed betaine pellet, Go2 Carp superblend and milled Betafin pellet. Job done!
The second part of Nathan Baileys brace and target fish from the venue, in the shape of this 38lbs 15oz. A fish that is thought to be over forty year old and still going strong! Top angling Nathan.
Richard Handel is on a roll! Yet another common falling to his ever faithful PVA bag mix. Why not give it a go? A mix of Catalyst Pellet, Betafin pellet and a good helping of Catalyst particle and Pellet syrup doing the business as usual.
Man in form Richard Handel is tearing his local lake apart, this being his 9th fish on an overnight session! Spinning the scales to 23lbs 4oz and providing Richard with some memorable times on the bank.
The working week is done for the majority of us, so let’s kick the weekend off in style! A colossal mirror for Ed Skillz taken on The Catalyst… If you’re out on the bank this weekend, good luck and be sure to let us know how you get on!
Check this scaley stunner for consultant Katy Aylward from her latest session, just shy of the 20lbs mark. Although the weed presented a problem for Katy, she battled through it and was duly rewarded for her efforts. A washed out pink Catalyst pop up over a scattering of Catalyst boilies produced the goods.
Yet another stunner for Katy Aylward! Implicating the same tactics from her previous capture, a washed out pink pop up presented over a few kilo of The Catalyst boilie.
