Steve Wright continuing his domination on Bluebell complex managed to smash the lake record over the weekend on Sandmartin lake, at a whopping 41lbs 6oz! A kilo of crushed Catalyst boilie with a FW miracle berry pop up over the bed of bait proved too irresistible for the unit. The first time the lake has done a 40lbs+ fish too. Well done Steve, great angling!

How’s this for a cracker to get the week underway! After purchasing his bait from The Carp Shack in Woodley, Reading, James Lugg introduced The Catalyst boilies fishing with a Catalyst natural pop up over the bed of bait. The result, a new PB common in the net at 36lbs 8oz!
Mark Terry returned from a trip to France recently, banking several fish even though the carp were in a “spawny” mood… but the pick of the bunch for us was this lovely clean looking grass carp! Mark tempted the fish using mixed Catalyst boilies, accompanied with the matching Catalyst pellets and particle syrup.
Tony Parker banked this stunning looking common on a recent session, spinning the dial to over 27lbs on Cheshire Mere. A boosted Catalyst bottom bait using the Catalyst food dip the winning method on this occasion!
It seems the commons have taken a very big liking this weekend with three 40+ UK commons banked including a new lake record which we will bring you tomorrow! This time it’s Ginger Robertson’s turn with this battle scarred 40lbs 4oz brute. Using a small PVA bag with crushed Catalyst boilies and Betafin pellet, ginger presented a Catalyst bottom bait topped with a Miracle berry pop up to tempt the bite.
Rich Murkin caught this gorgeous dark common at 40lb from Bluebell lakes in a recent session. A washed out yellow Catalyst pop up over 3kg of Catalyst freebies, incorporating some Tuna Stix and Catalyst food dip too on the hookbait. Fishing on a hard spot in the silt, Rich managed to tempt the brute but ended up getting locked up in the weed, which saw a very tense 20 minute battle with the fish, before slipping the chunk over the net cord! Due to a very busy few years for Rich, it was the first time he’d managed to be on the bank in over two years, but he put faith in The Catalyst range and it didn’t leave him disappointed! Fantastic work Rich, and very well deserved.
After two fish over 20lb yesterday in Norway, which is classed as extremely good weights for this cold northern country, Chris Thompson has just knocked it out the park with a 30lb 8oz Mirror less than 1kg under the Norwegian Record. Yet another stunning looking common from Millfield Pool, this time from Dale Baxter. Using chopped and whole Catalyst boilies, Dale opted to present a Catalyst Natural pop up over the bed, proving too tempting to ignore!
Business as usual for Scott Kelly on Erics Willows with this dark unit of a mirror, tipping the dials round to 30lbs 10oz. A trio of the new Go2 8mm Wafters the fishes downfall! Scott has also told us that he’s had two fish bigger in the session as well…

Fishing a new venue, Nathan Bailey managed to bag this lovely looking common of around 25lbs. Using a hookbait soaked in the Masala spice booster spray accompanied with a handful of Betafin pellets. With an estimated stock of only 15 fish, Nathan’s tactics were on the money!
Team member Matt Hollingworth enjoyed himself on Ladywood lakes in a recent session, banking a nice looking common. Matt noticed plenty of fish in the upper layers, therefore opted for a zig rig using a Classic corn pop up to get the all important bite. Well in Matt!

40lb 5oz of big English mirror carp from Chilham Mill! Known as “The Fat Linear” Shaun Brooker tempted the giant fishing The Catalyst boilie, accompanied with a Catalyst hookbaits soaked in Catalyst Particle and Pellet Syrup. Massive well done Shaun, a truly amazing carp!

How’s this for an Easter banger from Ben Hatcher! Part of a four fish catch on his local Suffolk club water, Ben opted for a single Frank Warwick Classic Corn pop up fished on a multi hinge rig using the semi-stiff Finskin hooklink. Top work Ben
After baiting a fringe to a small island with Catalyst boilies and pellet, Richard Handel managed to catch this lovely looking common at 22lbs 13oz. Incorporating the semi stiff finskin hooklink and size 8 longshank hooks, Richard ensured the fish was ending up in the landing net!
A recent session for Dave Wright saw him bank four fish , this common being the pick of the bunch at 24lbs 10oz. Dave presented a washed out pink Catalyst pop up on a naked chod fishing at range. Good work Dave!

Menno Van Dalen of Carpcrossing Carp Lakes has been smashing it recently using The Catalyst in France, and it just keeps getting better! A new PB at 24.4kg (53 lbs 8oz) made Menno one happy man! Yet another PB broken with Spotted Fin. Hookbait of choice was a Frank Warwick caramel cream pop up over Catalyst freebies.
Tom Hermitage enjoyed some recent success on his local park lake, this being one of two fish caught on the session at 26lbs 10oz. Using our new Zero Gravity mix, Tom rolled his own pop ups combining a variety of SF flavours and paired these with a hinge stiff rig made with our FinSkin hook link and Straight point hooks, over a scattering of Catalyst freebies.

Third lake record in 4 weeks in Scandinavian territory on The Catalyst and Frank Warwick Pop-Ups. This time Sweden. Fredrick’s weekend started with this perfect common that found a Miracle Berry popup irresistible fished on a multi rig. He used the FINSKIN Soft Coated Hooklink and a size 6 Turningpoint Long Shank Curve hook. Performance and reliability provided in all the products and he trust’s them 110%.
Carl Brackhahn has just had this fish out of Chilham Mill, Kent at 38lb fishing over whole and crumbed Catalyst boilies. A fish known as The Pretty One, she is one of the ” A Team” in the venue. After a big battle in the weed she was finally landed, much to the pleasure of Carl !

Mason Bradford, from Team Fin with a new PB of 30.6 caught on the Spotted Fin, Frank Warwick Pop-Ups and SF TURNINGPOINT hooks. Mason fished a private Wraysbury lake and had a great haul at the weekend, amongst this PB, and we will bring you more of his fish in the week.
