Spotted Fin – Catch Report – April 2019
What an absolute belter this one is!
After arriving at the Essex Manor to find it mega busy, our man Mark Cooper managed to find a few fish tucked away in a quiet corner. Lowering in Pink Pepper Squid Pop-Ups no more than two feet from the bank with a scattering of glugged up Smokey Jack, resulted in a two fish catch including this stunner…
It’s not always about size, as this absolute stunner from Ginger Robertson proves!
Comment below with your best looker from the bank holiday weekend…
Mark Tierney just got back from a rather wet and cold week in Italy, despite the weather and his bait getting delayed in customs (he had to borrow some off Frank Warwick) he still managed to bank an absolute BEAST in the shape of this stunning 61lber!
A Miracle Berry Pop-Up over a bed of 15mm Smokey Jack was enough to tempt the Italian giant.
***Two UK 50s in Two Days!!!***
Not content with his 50lber yesterday, Charlie Hayes has gone one better banking the ‘Big Sutton’ at a new Personal Best, 54lb 5oz!
Once again tempted on the ever faithful Catalyst… Mega result!
Charlie Hayes continues his run of form at Wellington Country Park with a fish known as ‘Drop Scale’ which weighed in at a monstrous 50lb 10oz!
After spotting a few fish in the morning, he fished the far margin with a home made Catalyst corkball pop-up on a hinged stiff rig incorporating a size 4 SF Chod Hook and within a couple of hours it was away..
Simon Ward was on Chilham Mill this weekend, with the freezing cold night temperatures it was far from ideal conditions. The only bite of the weekend fell to his rods, a Catalyst Natural Pop-Up with a handful of freebies soaked in Finamino, it turned out to be a rare one known as ‘single scale’… a good one too tipping the scales at over 35lbs!
Andrew Wood has been smashing up his syndicate water this Spring, by baiting the deeper end of the lake with liberal helpings of Smokey Jack, the alarms soon started singing!
11 bites over the next 3 sessions proved it to be the right move, fishing Pink Pepper Squid Wafters over the top of the baited area resulted in some stunning scaleys.
The kids are absolutely smashing it at right now! Here is 6 year old Riley Court who landed this monster on a combination of Catalyst and Sweet Corn fished in the margin… Totally out fishing his dad at the same time
After coming to see us at one of the shows this year and walking away with some Catalyst, it didn’t take long for young Declan Priestley to get in touch with this chunk of a mirror.
Spring is most definitely here!
Arezue Wright sent over this mega shot of a scaley stunner caught with the help of the new ‘Method Ready Pellets’ in conjunction with the ever faithful Smokey Jack…
