Consultant Nathan Bailey has been out at the weekend, and was rewarded for his efforts with this silty coloured mirror, which according to the owner has never done a capture before, coming in at 22lbs 4oz. As the crayfish were causing a problem with presentation on the rig, Nathan opted for plastic baits soaked in the Fruit Zing booster spray for that extra attraction, and to ensure the cray’s were kept at bay! He presented the bait over a bed of 2mm Betafin pellets, Go2 carp super blend and the Go2 milled betaine Pellet from the match side of Spotted Fin. Just shows how our two sections can cross between one another and produce the goods! Well in Nathan

argeting The Chase, George Green wanted to throw himself into the challenge this year with his angling, looking to crack the code on the water. After spotting slight fizzing in an occupied swim, George knew he needed to move once the swim was vacant, and its exactly what he did. No more than twenty seconds after casting into the area, the rod rattled off, resulting in this peach of a common just over 23lbs. Ten minutes later George then landed a chunky mirror to get himself off to a great start on the water. The Catalyst providing the goods!

Consultant Katy Aylward is loving her time on the bank of late, banking some stunning fish and this is no exception! Well here she is, all 40lbs 2oz of big, Yorkshire common! Once again, Scott Kelly has pulled a dream session again on Erics Willows, with a consecutive brace of 40lbs+ fish! After moving swims three times during the session, Scotts persistence and determination paid off when he banked three fish in quick succession after the third move. Shortly after the quick fire brace of doubles, and unfortunately losing a good fish to a cut off, he went on to bank the pristine common we showed you yesterday at 40lbs 2oz. The rest of the day saw little action across the lake, until the sun started to drop and Scott’s alarm went into meltdown! After a tense boat battle in the thick weed, and wiping all his other rods out of the swim, he was duly rewarded with ‘The Big Leather’ at 43lbs! On the session, a new Particle and Pellet syrup has been put through it paces along with the Catalyst pellets, contributing to this amazing Yorkshire haul. Watch this space! Massive congratulations Scott from all at Team Fin.

Fishing Erics Willows, team member Terry Brooksbank noticed the volume of silk weed that was dominating the majority of swims around the venue, and knew presenting on this would be very tricky. Plan of attack would be to try intercept the carp as they moved above the weed with shallow zigs, and it was long before he was into some action! Although the weed still presented problems, he managed to bank seven fish on the session including four upper doubles, two 20lbs+ fish, then topped with this unit at 38lbs! Terry opted for foam soaked in the Fruit Zing booster spray to keep the bites coming. Great angling Terry!

Team member Matthew Smith enjoyed a fantastic session recently fishing a new venue, Acton Burnell complex. Not knowing the lake and with the temperature picking up, he decided to fish to a set of lily pads in the hope some fish would be present in the shallower water. After casting a lead to investigate the lake bed, Matt decided upon a short section of the FinSkin hooklink with a low lying white Catalyst pop up over a bed of crushed and chopped Catalyst boilies soaked in the Catalyst particle syrup, something very different to what the syndicate members were advising him to do. After a smaller fish during the first night, it wasn’t long until one of the oldest carp in the complex graced the net at 32lbs 14oz! Not holding back, he then went on to bag a lovely looking scaley mirror, ending the session on seven fish to the amazement of the other members! The first time the water has seen the Catalyst, and definelty wont be the last… Top work Matt!

Consultant Rob Nunn has been targeting his local water for some time, trying to catch a certain fish that believe it or not has evaded capture for over 12 years! Many thought it has passed away, but Rob persisted with the campaign and was rewarded with the missing common! The Catalyst natural pop up boosted with minamino, The Catalyst food dip and matching 15mm Catalyst freebies the winning recipe to bank the illusive creature. Great angling Rob!

Richard Handel has been making the most of the warmer weather, resulting in this scale perfect 25lbs common. BetaFin pellets and crushed Catalyst boilies presented in a PVA bag once again the tactic for Richard.
