It’s my 3rd trip out and the wind is blowing a cold north-westerly but after last week’s weather it’s worth a try for a crocodile 🐊 .
I started out by spombing out last trips baits, I had chopped them up and kept in the freezer.
I was using half a mackerel head on one rod and tail on the other rod.
All set up to catch a pike. I like to have everything ready on my unhooking mat with all my unhooking tools ready.
After a weather warning of icy wind I was prepared for the worst but it was quite pleasant outside, and after the wind dropped and the sun pocked its head out!
It was a nice last hour fishing – unfortunately no action. At least I didn’t get any snow unlike other parts of the southern half of England!
Until Next Time
